Ohio State vs. Michigan is officially scheduled for a noon kickoff on FOX, but it appears one of Ohio State’s games against Indiana or Oregon will avoid the Big Noon slot.

Ohio State’s Rivalry Game vs. Michigan Officially Set for Noon Kickoff on FOX Once Again​



It will be FOX’s ninth straight broadcast of The Game dating back to 2017. FOX has broadcast the Ohio State vs. Michigan game every year except 2020, when The Game was canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Michigan, since becoming the Big Ten’s primary television partner in 2017.

The Game routinely draws the largest audience of any game in the entire college football regular season, as it did last year, when 18.4 million people watched the Buckeyes’ 27-9 win over the Wolverines.

In a somewhat more surprising development, the other regular-season game FOX announced it will be airing this year wasn‘t Ohio State’s Big Ten Championship Game rematch with Indiana on Oct. 17 or its home game against Oregon on Nov. 7. Instead, FOX announced it will televise Michigan’s home game against Oklahoma on Sept. 12.



Ohio State plays at Texas on Sept. 12, but that game will likely air at 7:30 p.m. on ABC, which controls the rights to that game as the SEC’s television partner since the Longhorns are the home team.

Assuming FOX used one of its top three picks in this year’s Big Ten TV network draft to secure the rights to Michigan/Oklahoma, that likely means one of the Ohio State/Indiana or Ohio State/Oregon games will air on CBS and NBC. A home night game at the Shoe remains unlikely, however, because NBC has already announced it will air Notre Dame’s Nov. 7 game against Miami in its 7:30 p.m. time slot. As such, Ohio State vs. Oregon appears likely to be a 3:30 p.m. game on CBS, as it would be a surprise if FOX passed up the opportunity to air Buckeyes vs. Hoosiers, a matchup of college football’s last two national champions.

Ohio State vs. Michigan at noon is the first kickoff time to be officially announced for the Buckeyes’ 2026 season. TV networks and kickoff times for the first three weeks of the season are typically announced in May, so those details will likely be set for Ohio State’s non-conference games against Ball State (Sept. 5), Texas (Sept. 12) and Kent State (Sept. 19) later this month.

FOX also made it official on Monday that it will air the Big Ten Championship Game on Dec. 5. The 2026 Big Ten Championship Game was originally set to air on NBC, but FOX bought the game back last month, reportedly paying between $45-55 million to NBC while also giving NBC the rights to one additional Big Ten game this season.

Buckeye fans feel pretty confident about this year’s version of The Game

As we wrapped up “What We Think We Know” Week over the weekend, we are bringing you the results of last week’s fan survey. Earlier this week, we asked Buckeye Nation which of a handful of options they felt most confident predicting for the OSU football this season.

While there was clearly a winner from the results of the poll, I do have to wonder how much of that was a legitimate confidence in the answer, and how much was just rivalry hatred being the No. 1 motivating factor for all Ohio State fans.

Either way, I am more than happy that nearly half of all respondents feel confident that the Buckeyes are going to beat That Team Up North in November. Turning that series of consecutive losses around into a Scarlet and Gray winning streak would be a wonderful way to wrap up Thanksgiving Weekend.

Don't accuse me of wearing S&G glasses, but I'd vote for each and every one of those items. Only question is Bo, as RBs can get hurt, and there's a deep bench just waiting their chances. Am baffled why Jeremiah hasn't won one Biletnikoff award yet, but thems the breaks, and the anti-OSU mindset out there. (wish I had a nickel for every talking head who has proclaimed Jeremiah best WR in nation).

Ohio State must annihilate TTUN to carry out justice for the rest of college football​

At the end of the season, the Ohio State Buckeyes must absolutely torch the Wolverines. They were gifted a win that they clearly did not deserve. After years of documented cheating, it seems they have gotten away with yet another victory they should not have obtained.

While Ohio State can't give that victory back to the Broncos, they can embarrass the Wolverines to the point of no return. In that opener, it was abundantly clear that Kyle Whittingham's team is going to struggle this season. They very well could lose six or seven games this season.

With that being the case, there is a chance that a loss to the Buckeyes would knock TTUN out of contention for playing in a bowl game. There is no greater humiliation that they could suffer than to lose to the Scarlet and Gray by 50 in order to miss out on a bowl game.

That margin of defeat is in play for the Wolverines after the play of Bryce Underwood. Underwood finished the game against Western Michigan 12/22 for 170 yards, one touchdown, one pick, and a fumble. Take away that nonsense Hail Mary, and he only threw for 123 yards against a MAC school.
