Outside of UMass, I don't see any guaranteed wins on that schedule. They could easily be 2-5 heading into their open date. 7-5 would be a great result for Michigan in 2010.

This coming from cfn.com, which if I remember correctly, predicted UM to go 8-4 last year. We all know how that turned out. No way does UM go 7-5 this year. In addition to them losing the games in red, I think they'll split the first two (and they'll be lucky to do that) and lose to Wisconsin. So that puts them at 5-7. And they may lose at home to Illinois and both of the first two games.

That result for UM is a wet dream.

A 5-0 start that starts another round of chest thumping and room reservations in Phoenix. Followed by a 2-5 finish that reinforces who they really are but still gets them a bowl bid and hopefully saves RRs job.

I dunno, I'm torn: I could see them going 8-4 or 4-8, both very easily. On one hand, they should be able to put up a lot of points against bad defenses (and there are lots of those on their schedule). On the other hand, they will probably give up more than 30 ppg against competent teams (and there are plenty of offenses on that schedule that could score 30-50 points). It's just too hard to tell. There's no possibility of a BCS game, so I guess anything that gets them bowl eligible is a resounding success...

They are absolutely not guaranteed to win any of their Big Ten games. At Notre Dame is never a guaranteed win, even when Charlie Cheeseburger was there. UConn will be weaker this year, but they'd better fucking win that one, or they're staring 4-8 straight in the testicles. If they do get off to a 4-1 or 5-0 start, they could easily go 7-5. But that's about it.
