TSUN in 2010: how many regular season wins?

They win 5 games last year? Assuming offensive improvement . . . Forcier looked good at times last year but had freshman inconsistencies. How many games did their defense cost them?

Then again who knows perhaps the Wolverines quit on this coaching staff if things go south?

Their defense is worse this year. Their best player is getting drafted this weekend. Improvement on O is a possibility, but not with the D IMO.

Bowl eligible. Maybe enough to keep D-Rod around even longer which would be a dream come true. I think Denard Robinson has a respectable season, their defense sucks, but they get to a bowl. Hopefully it's enough to keep D-Rod and his awful recruiting around. The longer he stays, the longer it takes for them to return to prominence.

Horse[censored]. He needs a contract extension! I want a greater than 50% winning percentage against Michigan ALL-TIME!

Double down on that. In fact, give him a lifetime contract.

I'd really love to see that "winningest program of all time" boast go away.

According to This, if TSUN loses 6 more games than tOSU this year, then they will have the same number of losses, all-time.

But according to This, the all-time losses are tied after only 4 more TSUN losses (and none for tOSU).

I would try to figure out why the numbers are different between the two sources, but something tells me that BB73 already knows.

Either way, TSUN will still have more wins for a few more seasons yet: We'll just have to console ourselves with a 9th win in 10 years this November.

Some of Michigan's early games were played under the Mayan numbering system - accounting for the discrepancy.

But just because a few of your wins came while playing the Mesoamerican Ballgame doesn't mean you can't claim to be the winning-est program of all time.

I'm not going to bother with the Wikipedia source - if Stassen and CFBDataWarehouse match (and they both have TSUN with 302 losses), it's fine with me.

Post #57 in this thread has an explanation of some discrepancies in the all-time records for tOSU, Texas and Oklahoma as of a couple of years ago.

I knew I remembered you having worked out some discrepancies in the past...

We'll just chalk this one up to Wiki-Waki information
