TSUN +13.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sun 1 ET, CBS

Tough game that we showed poise and determination to win.

Make no mistake, though, winning in Crisler won't be easy. This is the best Vulvarine squad since Rose, Webber et al. They have the talent to make some noise in the Dance.

Way too relient on jump shooting for me to make a lot of noise. That's a lot of reasons they had very few FT's. Being able to take it outside and hit J's is great, but you have to be a team like OSU who can still go inside when the outside shots aren't falling. scUM doesnt have that presence so much... all they can do is their moving screens.

I thought that in the first half we tried to force too many things and Sully needed to get the ball out of the post a little quicker before the double team came. We also settled too much on the outside shot and we would just not shooting that well from the outside.

Hard to say what the difference was in the second half except for the fact that we shot the ball a little better and did not force as many shots.
Overall, I thought we played terrific team defense the entire game without fouling. Shutting down Hardaway was a big factor.

Burke is a baller but Craft brings much more to the court with his all-around play.

I just think we have to play with the same intensity that we brought in the second half and sometimes Sully is going to have to sacrifice a little of his game for the team.

Yeah, interesting that they went away from what they were doing the first half, using Burke to penetrate and then passing to where the hedge came from. Maybe the refs warned Beeline about all those moving screens ...

Outstanding minutes from Ravenel today. When Sully spent extended time out he really stepped up.

If we just start making more of those open 3 pointers......

Craft was awesome today. Burke and Hardaway are pretty good players but he more than held his own. Love when he starts looking to score a little more also.

Ok. I was at the game. Was the officiating as bad in the first half as it seemed from the stands or was it just bias for the good guys I was seeing?

I was not a fan. Seemed like OSU was getting called on some real ticky tack crap. Namely one Sullinger had there where he at most used his hand to brace against a guys body running by him for like a half second.... that happens all the time. It made it worse though that scUM was allowed to cut off moving screems so much. I'm positive we have some bias, but either way I stick to my opinion.

Oh well, good guys prevailed! :oh:

The officiating didn't seem that bad to me, a few ticky tack fouls in the first half, but nothing that stands out. It seemed they were letting them bang on the boards more in the second half as well. I did feel Sully was getting abused in the paint at times and it never got called unless he was going to the hoop.

"Novak sucks, Novak sucks" lol...great second half and Smith Jr. is just turning it on. Good to see Buford and Sully step up in the clutch though at the end. Side note-I was about pulling my hair out having to listen to Raferty do that stupid growl voice on every possession, regardless of the play. I like that he is objective and gives us credit, but cut that stupid voice. Anyways, big win and even sweeter over the skunkbears from Ann Arbor the Whore. :osu: That is how we do it Stefon Diggs.

My biggest issue was when Ravenal (I think it was him) was called for a foul because he hit one guys elbow with his face.

I think that was Deshaun Thomas, and the announcers kept saying the elbow didn't catch him. However, when they showed Thomas up close, it looked like his mouth was bloodied from it. Think it ended up being a foul on Thomas and no flagrant on the dude throwing elbows.

I hate TSUN as much as the next Buckeye but that's about as homerific a portrayal of that play as one can imagine.

Well done. :scum4:
