Bad news, left just enough time for scUM to score again. :(

I left and it was tied. Return with pizza and the piss yellow and blue score again. Denard is a special QB, or is he good playing against some lowly defenses. I think I know the answer to my own question.

Yards allowed:
Week 1: 138 rush, 205 Pass = 343
Week 2: 154 rush, 381 Pass = 535
Week 3: 217 rush, 222 Pass = 439
Week 4: 32 rush, 251 Pass = 283
Week 5: 88 rush, 480 Pass = 568
Total: 125.8 rush, 307.8 Pass = 433.6

It's a darn good thing they haven't played a team with a defense, because they have needed every bit of Shoelaces unbelievable offense to win these games. Wow.

Their next 3 games are MSU, Iowa and @PSU...I'm anxious to see what Robinson does in that stretch. If he runs through those teams as well, then I guess I'll believe the hype.

Well yeah...also, Denard has now left 4/5 games dinged up at some point. When he starts taking real hits, there has to be concern that he won't get up...he might be more fragile than tater tot...

Well Michigan 5-0. Denard does his thing again.

Sparty comes to town next week. Baker and Bell make me very nervous. Could be another high scoring game. I don't see State slowing down Michigan's offense. It will be a game to which team gets the lucky breaks.

Iowa is the game that I'll be curious about. I want to see how Michigan does against a good defense. Then again if Michigan offense sucks against Iowa, I will hear the "I told you so" crowd. If Michigan burns them then I'll probably hear the "Iowa d is overrated." Oh well, 1 more game for a bowl game. Michigan might have 7-8 wins.

I think Sparty wins by 10, but we'll see.

On the flip side...

If Michigan had a defense that was at least middle-of-the-road (MSU, Illinois, ect), what would their record be?

To me, it seems that if Michigan ever has a defense that is passable, they'd wind up with 9 or 10 wins.

5-0? But I see your point, I think they'd be a threat to win the conference with even an average D...

not more than indiana, bowling green, notre dame, umass, and connecticut have? really?

Depends on what you call "slowing down". ND torched them. Wiscy averaged 6 yards per carry against them. They have a decent defense, but it isn't great.

if you don't think that msu will field a more solid defense than what you've faced against stalwarts like indiana, umass, and bowling green, then you're delusional. heck, the hoosiers' defense is almost as bad as yours.
