Bad news, left just enough time for scUM to score again. :(

Well yeah...also, Denard has now left 4/5 games dinged up at some point. When he starts taking real hits, there has to be concern that he won't get up...he might be more fragile than tater tot...buckeyemania11;1784521; said:they are toast when they play a team with a pulse on defense

Sparty comes to town next week. Baker and Bell make me very nervous. Could be another high scoring game. I don't see State slowing down Michigan's offense. It will be a game to which team gets the lucky breaks.
Iowa is the game that I'll be curious about. I want to see how Michigan does against a good defense. Then again if Michigan offense sucks against Iowa, I will hear the "I told you so" crowd. If Michigan burns them then I'll probably hear the "Iowa d is overrated." Oh well, 1 more game for a bowl game. Michigan might have 7-8 wins.
not more than indiana, bowling green, notre dame, umass, and connecticut have? really?zwem;1784526; said:I don't see State slowing down Michigan's offense.
5-0? But I see your point, I think they'd be a threat to win the conference with even an average D...Mrstickball;1784531; said:On the flip side...
If Michigan had a defense that was at least middle-of-the-road (MSU, Illinois, ect), what would their record be?
To me, it seems that if Michigan ever has a defense that is passable, they'd wind up with 9 or 10 wins.

if you don't think that msu will field a more solid defense than what you've faced against stalwarts like indiana, umass, and bowling green, then you're delusional. heck, the hoosiers' defense is almost as bad as yours.zwem;1784537; said:Depends on what you call "slowing down". ND torched them. Wiscy averaged 6 yards per carry against them. They have a decent defense, but it isn't great.
