Trev Alberts' Lists of Late and the Inevitable Anti-tOSU Conspiracy Theories

Nice merge ... :wink2:

Before the Trev/ESPN conspiracy theories go any further, could I interject that Vince Doria, the VP of ESPN and director of SportsCenter, is an OSU grad? God, I'm sick of defending ESPN already, but please ... what Trev says really isn't that important in our day-to-day lives.

To quote Trev, "the bottom line is" his double-speak is pretty amusing ... :wink2:

The thing I dont get about espn is how they hire their analysts. I actually enjoy watching Baseball tonight. Their analysts actually know something about the game, and are enjoyable to watch.

Then they have people like Trev Alberts, Skip Bayless, Jim Rome, Screaming A Smith, and other jackoff people who just get up there and spew random information off the top of their had as if its a fact.

Trevs heisman list is a joke. Gerald Riggs and Chad Henne? Wtf? Im not doubting that they're good players, but how does someone who ran for 1000 yards last season get put behind even someone like Mike Hart. How can Riggs be on there and not peterson..... Who is clearly superior.

The usc nods were fine, but what about Chris Leak? What about Ginn? Hart? Omar Jacobs (If alex smith can be there, so can Jacobs)

so true, i fear the day that espn decides that they need to get younger and more confrontational with baseball tonight. Its amazing what happens when you have a sports show with people who know about the sport. They even do a great job with their baseball broadcast crew. Why is it so easy to get baseball right and so easy to screw up football and basketball. BBTN = best show on tv

Give it a rest.......you can rip him for his overrated list because it's just stupid, but his heisman list? How can you find fault with that? (except for the statement about Leinart being the greatest human to ever breathe )

That's 60-7 (.896), with a national title, three title game appearances (more than any other team), and being ranked in the top six every year (three top-three finishes). And that 60-7 record is the best in major college football since 2000. So how in the fuck are they over-rated?

By the way, his #5 over-rated team, Miami, has the second-best record since 2000 (55-7, .887), along with two title game appearances and a national title.

Alberts is a moron.
I'm never gonna stick up for Trev... he's definitely a moron (and Miami is a horrible choice, way to be like three years late on that one... maybe he should mention how overrated they were in his fiesta bowl prediction)...

However OU should not have been in the title game two years ago... last year they were not worthy but 04 auburn did not have as strong of a case as 03 USC.

I can see an argument however...

I'm telling you, that shit wo-...OOH a bird flew by my window!
That strattera crap is worthless... at least for me. Stick with the concerta, it does the trick. Plus it doesn't render you completely limp like the former.

Ironic that an undefeated SEC team didn't have as strong a case as a 1-loss Pac-10 team. Auburn definitely picked the wrong year to go undefeated. Just like they did in 1993 when they were on probation.

cancerning Auburn last season, i don't care if you win the game 567345976435 to nothing, anytime you play The Citadel, you are taking serious chances... Auburn dug their own grave... sack up and schedule someone with a pulse.

He picked Gerald Riggs. He's a fucking tool, undeserving of the title "Analyst."

Barring the biggest SEC defense MELTDOWN in the history of the sport, Riggs will not win the Heisman.

If Bush can win the Heisman, so can Teddy. They both play the "Touchdowns per Carry" game and the "All Purpose" yards and the "Excitement Factor."

In his last top 5 list of the week, Trev listed the top five non-conference games of the year.

Ohio State-Texas was #3

Trev must not like it when two top 10, national championship contenders square off in the early season.

I'm almost afraid to ask which two he rated higher...
