Movie Talk: 'Transformers' Fans to Receive a Shock
'Transformers' Fans to Receive a Shock

The first step to fixing a mistake is admitting a wrong. For his part, Michael Bay has done that verbally.

Bay admitted the second "Transformers" movie deserved some of the negative feedback it received: "I'll take some of the criticism. It was very hard to put (the sequel) together that quickly after the writers' strike [of 2007-2008]." OK, fair enough. Now he's trying to fix the abomination that was "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" through his actions, too.

Bay revealed in an interview with USA Today two tidbits about the third Transformers film that should make fans happy. First came a decision that should surprise absolutely nobody: The third film is being shot in 3D (even though Bay had hinted in the past that it wouldn't be). In a more surprising announcement, Bay confirmed that fan-favorite Shockwave will be a featured villain.

Contd....

Oh great. More 3D. :roll1:

Look for every major movie in the near future to be in 3D for the foreseeable future. To be completely honest I can't say that watching Avatar in 3D at the theater was any better than watching it in Blue-Ray at home. I did however notice a pretty big difference between BR, regular DVD, and single layer dvd. With my local Blockbuster closing I won't be seeing anything in BR in the near future since Netflix charges more for BR.

This just pretty much proves my theories about what movies have become. Even Michael "explosion" Bay admitted that the 2nd movie sucked, and it still made how much money? The Box office proves absolutely nothing. I honestly didnt think avatar was that great. Definitely not the best movie ever.

Course this is also coming from someone who thought the first transformers sucked. Bay needs to just stop. Its painful to watch. But people continue to go see his garbage. Its frustrating

New 'Transformers' Trailer Rewrites Moon Landing History

Apparently, all the greatest endeavors in human history have been to hide the existence of Transformers.

In the first "Transformers," they said that the Hoover Dam was built to hide the All Spark cube that landed on Earth. And in the second movie, "Revenge of the Fallen," it was revealed that one of the Great Pyramids housed a doomsday device that had the power to destroy our sun. Now it turns out that our entire space program in the 1960s was just a cover to investigate a massive alien spacecraft that crashed on the dark side of the Moon.

Paramount Pictures just released the first look at next summer's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," director Michael Bay's third and apparently final film with the robots in disguise. According to the trailer, when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were in radio silence on the Moon's far side, they engaged in a secret mission to check out the giant Transformer lying dormant on the surface.

Take a look at the new trailer, then keep reading to find out why Bay says he's certain that we really did land on the Moon.

yeah, I don't see why people thought the second one was so bad. I enjoyed it. Could have had some more depth, but I wasn't looking for Shakespear when I went to see it.

IIRC the second one seemed 30 minutes longer than it needed to be. I have enjoyed both movies for the robot fighting and special effects. If you want a steaming pile rent GI Joe. That movie was horrible.
