tOSU Women 66, Stanford 84 (Final)

Stanford just keeps bringing "trees" off the bench and feeding the post. If our girls pull this off I'll be very impressed because we're overmatched in the paint.

Just too much inside. Our girls fought hard and the game was a lot closer than the final score indicates. Stanford ended it with an 18-4 run, and won 84-66. :(

Congrats to Stanford. We just did not have an answer for their inside game. They probably made 25 lay ups tonight.

Our girls will be tough to beat next year with the team we will have coming back. Congrats to the Lady Bucks for making it to the Sweet 16.

Man we needed soem combo players out there...

We needed Little/ with a jup shot of Britany Johnson...

We needed Lavendar's offense/Walker's defense...

Star's defense with Schulze's shooting...

Stanford is a very good team, so no shame, it was a great season...I think Foster has answered the questions about running, being able to compete, etc...

We did this against Auburn, UNC, and now Stanford we play with them, but then we wear out a little at the end and shots don't fall and the other team gets easy buckets..

I would like to see some real tough games on the non-conference slate next year...

Losing Star and Ashlee will hurt...both struggled tonight...but with Sammy and Jantel back we have a nucleus for two more great years...The players around them just need to fit in around those two, and we will win lots of games... I knwo we didn't win, but I think we showed we can play with very talented teams for 36 minutes...We just need the final 4, and that will come next year...

Fucking classless by Stanford, shooting a 3 already up by 15 with 10 seconds left in the game and the shot clock off...I hope the bitch has a month-long period.

I don't think the shot clock was off. I remember there being an 8-10 second difference. It was late, though...so I could be wrong.

That's exactly what I was thinking of. Too many one-dimensional players. Little is a monster on defense, but has zero offensive game. Trebilcock, Schulze, and Johnson can shoot, but don't add much defensively or off the dribble. Allen is a solid offensive player, but is a bit under-sized (height-wise ) at the other end.

Man, could Stanford's ladies post up or what? Nobody could keep Appel from getting any position she wanted. The interior passing, high-low, and post-ups just ate OSU up.

Solid game, just ran out of gas down the stretch. If Sammy can consistently knock down jumpers like she was in the first half last night, she will be unstoppable.

There's a great foundation in place. I'm not sure what the recruiting class looks like, but a couple more solid front-court players are almost a must. The only returning front-court players are Lavender and Walker.
