We should try to take it all in today. It has been a long time coming. 24 straight. I'm not ready to see that streak end. After all the talk and utter lack of disrespect over the last two years, this team does not deserve to have that streak end. Not tonight. Not with everything on the line. I want them to dominate. Show up hungry, leave full.

It seems that way because there was only one other osu dude at the hotel bar and he became incoherent by midnight. I ended up having too many old fashions myself but that's neither here nor there.

I can only watch games like this with my son - mainly because we understand each other and he doesn't look down on me for acting like an idiot - because he is usually also acting like an idiot.

Last week when the ball was safely secured in Tyvis' hands, we didn't exult, we only exhaled. I'm ready for some unbridled and totally insane joy - and I would prefer to feel it early and often.

I watched last week with other people (many of the same people I've been "remote tailgating" with since last year). Actually broke one of my superstitions. I never used to watch close games--would set them to record & do something else. 1) because I'm just not that brave and 2) because I was afraid I was a jinx. Apparently not, since they've won close games with me watching anyway. :wink:

I would watch tonight with them, but they're too stick-in-the-muddy to party for such a "late" game. The curse of having peers who are old farts. (Probably in some way connected to my being one, too.)
