Ohio State wasn't very good then either. They didn't perform all that differently than they did the week before against Navy. This is a totally different team now, and arguably a different team that what would have emerged from scraping out a win in that game. They may not be better positioned in the polls right now than they would have been with a win, but I think they are a better football team than they might have otherwise become.
