tOSU vs. Penn State, Wed 2/11 @ 7p ET, BTN

Bucks followed up a nice road win by handling a team they should beat at home. Sam Thompson showed there is more to his game than just the occasional high flying dunk, not that there's anything wrong with that. PoSU had over twice as many turnovers as assists, a credit to the Buckeye defense.

75-55 :pimp:

DAR showing he can dominate a game even when he doesn't have the stroke.

And KBD continues to demonstrate his value. Second straight game with three blocks, and showed good aggressiveness on O. Maybe Loving's suspension is a blessing in disguise if it allows Keita to develop more confidence.

And help KBD be more of a part of the team so he may not be as inclined to transfer. I'd hate to lose a player with his talent because he was on the bench for a year. Just getting KBD some minutes has been a good thing for the team for this year and hopefully beyond.

I do not think you should get minutes to a player just because you think he might transfer. I just wonder how many coaches would agree with your thinking because I think that a coach puts players on the floor who he thinks is best for that game and not to please an individual player. I have nothing personal against KBD because I think he has a decent player and will be very helpful to us down the road. However, I would like to reserve total judgment on him until he plays against a quality opponent and that does not include Rutgers or the guys from Happy Valley.

Kids that are inclined to transfer don't buy in. It's obvious that when Loving is available he is a much better player and option at this stage. Nothing against KBD intended. I like his upside and I like his defensive presence more than Loving. Offensively though Loving is much more engaged in the how plays should run and where he should be in certain situations.

I'm not saying play a guy just to keep him from transferring. In this particular case, I think KBD should've gotten more PT than he has had this season, last few years it seems Matta has a tendency to play guys who can't shoot a lot of minutes. But this year is the one where there is a viable alternative to take some of those minutes and he still wasn't getting much PT until Loving got suspended.
