I think I saw the Hoosiers roll into town yesterday. I was on Tuttle near I-270 and noticed a motorcycle cop with his flashers on in my rearview mirror. Several more motorcycle cops came through with lights and sirens stopping traffic. Then several Indiana State Police cars doing the same leading the way. I then saw about four chartered buses carrying guys wearing ball caps, followed by more motorcycle cops.I believe they were heading to the Marriott off Tuttle. I'm guessing they bussed from Bloomington to Columbus.

Can you imagine how cold those motorcycle cops must have been if they rode from Bloomington in 25-30 degree weather?

I used to work with a guy who would ride his bike year-round unless it was snowing and/or freezing rain. Any other type of weather, including extreme cold, didn't matter he was riding.

My wife who complains about being cold when its 50 degrees outside rode this past week in 13 degree weather without complaint. With the right equipment, there's no issues riding.

And back in 1976.....

It all allegedly started in 1951, when Indiana University beat the Woody Hayes-coached Ohio State Buckeyes. Woody vowed he would never lose to Indiana again, and he didn't.

But in 1976, for one brief moment, Indiana took a 7-6 lead on Hayes' Buckeyes. It was the Hoosiers' first lead against Ohio State in 25 years. The moment wasn't lost on Indiana coach Lee Corso.

Calling a timeout so his team can run on the field and pose for a picture in front of a scoreboard: His team sprinted on the field to stand in front of the scoreboard while pictures were snapped. It didn't matter that the Buckeyes responded with 47 unanswered points in an eventual 47-7 shellacking.

"It was the first time Indiana had ever led Woody Hayes in the 25 seasons he'd been at Ohio State," Corso said, explaining why he ordered his team to strike a pose. "It was important we got that picture. Boy, that was great. After the game, Woody just growled at me."

...and the Hoosiers have somehow knocked off Ohio State in Columbus

Those words will be uttered by an overjoyed Don Fischer on Saturday as the Hoosiers run towards the South end zone at the Horseshoe to celebrate the improbable win. Surely this win saves Wilson's job at Indiana. Four defensive forced turnovers led to three Tevin Coleman touchdowns and one Shane Wynn receiving TD. The Buckeyes were down 4 late and were driving, but Tegray Scales intercepted Barret's pass to seal the deal for the Hoosiers.

Or OSU 42- IU 14

One of the two

"CampHoosier is a man among boys"

Classic. I remember when I first read that line in your trial transcript.

Ironic now that you're not allowed within 300 feet of them.
