Game Thread tOSU vs. Indiana, Nov 22nd @ 12pm ET, BTN

I think our playoff chances hinge on this second half...seriously. Unless we come out and blow them out in the second half I fear we will be labeled as not good enough to jump TCU or Miss St...a close win keeps us in the running for the conference title but would all but kill our playoff chances unless 3-4 teams ahead of us lose.

If we win every game we play for the rest of this season and post season will you be unhappy in any way if it's not a National Championship?

Agreed. The playoff committee has be looking for teams that can beat Alabama and Oregon and Florida State. Ohio State's difficulties with a crappy Indiana team certainly isn't evidence that the Buckeyes can play with the best teams in the country.

Is it as ugly on tv as it is here?

Terrible traffic, flat team, flat crowd. Tons of empty seats

My in-laws left Cincinnati at 8AM and only made it as far as Washington Court House by the time the game kicked off. I'm kinda glad for them that they turned around and came back.

I don't blame the crowd one bit for being flat - 1/3 of the people couldn't make it, interminable BTN commercial timeouts and the shitty stadium PA take the air out of the stadium (every week) and the team has given them little to get excited about in the first half.

The execution and focus were so poor that the coaches had to dail things back to prevent more half-assed mistakes. Considering the opposition, that was easily the worst half of football I've seen since Luke Fickell was head coach.

Sad thing is we here throwing the ball pretty well and went away from it becuase people didn't hold onto the ball

Eh people were saying we'd get our doors blown off at Sparty after the ugly game with Penn State and look how that turned out. Still think as long as we win the rest of our games and beat whoever we play in the B1G CHampionship, we're in.

I don't think that is necessarily true. TCU barely beat Kansas last week and it didn't kill them. Absolutely cannot lose though.

Perhaps not, but I stay with my original comment. The other guys aren't trying to overcome the "weak B1G" argument. We are. And we lost to Virginia Tech. Some folks have left their press go to their heads and now they need to get their heads back in this game and absolutely destroy Indiana in the second half, if they hope to get into the playoff.
