Well Florida beat us 41-14 in 2007 so it's not quite as bad as that. Oh....we're talking about BASEBALL!? Fuck!!!!

There are more fairweather days on which to practice in the south?

That has to account for like... 10 of those runs, right? 20 of them? Right?

i watched a good bit of that game, and have never seen anything like it.

it was unreal to see so many balls hit into the gaps.
to have an entire team "dialed-in" like that is probably never gonna happen again.
it's just unfortunate that it happened against y'all.

tOSU had a great baseball year.

Having grown up in Florida, I can tell you that of all the state teams, Florida St. has been perhaps the hungriest in this decade. They lost a narrow decision in the CWS 6-5 to Miami in the championship game about 10 years ago and knowing people there involved with the program, they literally are raging mad and they just happened to take it out yesterday.

Even FSU fans I know here were aghast at the score. Bad days do happen.

However, Florida State has been popping teams all year.

I am sorry I meant just read this entire thread and found myself laughing out loud in some of the posts regarding this shellacking. Sometimes to laugh or you might cry.

It was a good season but this certainly was not a way to shut it down until next season. Props to the guys for making it to the regional.

I was shocked to hear how long it had been since an ACC team won the CWS. ~40-50 years? Only one ACC team has won the CWS? Crazy considering the programs they have - FSU, UNC, Clemson, Wake, etc.

Miami won it 4 times and finished runner up twice, but before they were in the ACC. I remember very vividly their 1982 championship where they had that 'phantom' pickoff against Wichita State.

By the time I knew it was on TV it was already over, so did not watch. Props to the OSU baseball team for coming back from losing to Georgia and then eliminating them from the Super Regionals. That took alot of guts and fortitude. From what I've read, the FlaSt v. OSU game was over before it began. When a team is 'dialed in' everything seems to go their way, and this certainly sounds like it. Feel sorry for the seniors, but sounds like the nucleus is coming back next year. Great Big Ten tournament, and season. Our team win or lose.

watched that live and i was cheering against cryami so bad it felt like a Buckeyes game

to this day, I can't loook at Alex Cora without picturing him sobbing away in the infield (and laughing my ass off).

all game long, he was all over the place. sticking his nose where it didn't belong. There was a close play at 2nd, where our runner was called safe. Cora comes running in pointing at the bag, the runner, whatever else trying to get the call to go their way.

Was almost as happy to see him crying as I was to see us win it.
