tOSU vs Bowling Green, (Monday at 8 ET, BTN)

Best Buckeye

Pretending I'm a pleasant person is exhausting.

Next up for the mens' team are the Bowling Green Falcons.
The game is slated for Monday the 24th.
It is slated for the BTN at 8 pm.
I see a stiffer contest for the first game after we kick some Michigan butt Saturday.
The good news is that I wil get to watch this one.

I guess the early T's are selective as to who they want to invite. On the other hand Scum got into a good T. so go figure. I guess I don't really know how the picking and choosing is done. Anyone?

Should be a pretty good game. BG played Minnesota tough (lost by 7), and that was without two of their top players (although Minnesota had a couple key guys out as well). BG is really the only legitimate team OSU will face before going to Miami.

Bowling Green will be much more competitive with us than Delaware State was for sure

I was impressed with how they played against Walsh and Delaware State, but considering the competition you cant take much from those games

I think the rebounding could use some improvement, which I think it will improve once BJ gets used to the college game and starts rolling

Im gonna say the Buckeyes win this one by somewhere in the range of 10-15

Game preview
OHIO STATE VS. BOWLING GREEN

8 tonight
? Where: Value City Arena

? TV: Big Ten Network

? Radio: WBNS-AM (1460), WBNS-FM (97.1)

? Records: Ohio State 1-0; Bowling Green 3-1

? Matchup to watch: A familiar chink -- rebounding in the zone defense -- showed in the Buckeyes against Delaware State. Bowling Green is bigger across the board than the Hornets and averaging 13 offensive rebounds and 14.5 second-chance points per game. The Falcons had 17 offensive boards in a 68-61 loss at Minnesota on Nov. 15.

? Notable: This is the third consecutive season Ohio State has had another Ohio school on its schedule. Cleveland State will visit Columbus next season. . . . The Buckeyes last played a Mid-American Conference team two years ago, beating Kent State 81-59 in the BCA Classic championship game. . . . BG freshman Scott Thomas is a Buckeye Valley graduate. BG assistant LaMonta Stone was an OSU assistant from 2002-04.

? Next: Samford, noon Saturday, Value City Arena.

For the preseason tourneys...

We were going to have our own at the Schott, but the sponsorship fell thru and it was to late to get into another one...

Then it was too late to pick up another game as well...

For tonights game, it is going to be interesting to see us face a team that has a decent amount of talent...I think we will be just fine tho...

I believe that BG has all their returning starters back from last year including one of their guys who had to sit out last year because of an injury. They have 11 guys returning from last year's team so at least they were have some experience which should help the Buckeyes start to get ready for tougher competition.

I hope that BG plays man-to-man because I would like to see how our offense does against that type of defense and if the outside shooting will be as good as it was against Delaware State.
