Reminds me of what Cie Grant posted after the Game, something to the effect of how recruiting bad (for lack of a better term) kids would fix the issues. It's ludicrous.

I will grant that anyone who can brazenly break team rules or violate the law knowingly is more likely to play with a reckless abandon. That being said, a good coach should be able to get the "dawg" out of anyone. I think it's more of an issue of the team reflecting the head coach.

Ryan Shazier never had any legal/discipline issues and I've frankly never seen a more violent athlete.

Not saying he was a loose cannon, but I think of Mike Doss when I read this. Quiet and unassuming off the field (didn’t he wear glasses), but would lay you out on the field. I bet if they could measure his tackling force it was easily comparable to a LB.
