Aroson Randle Jr. is unranked early, but Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State and Ole Miss are after him. His brother is Cleveland Browns Linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle, mom was a track All American at Clemson. Good bloodlines.

I think the 2027 class could get a couple big commits this weekend, safest bet being Eli Johnson. Wouldn’t be surprised if we also landed one of the big OL visiting between Dewey Young, Cole Reiter and Jake Hildebrand.

DGG recently said he wants to take his official visits next year so I don’t think it’ll be him.

In the current recruiting landscape, appears (to me at least) that recruits 'secure' their spot with a team, then cruise around other teams to see what else is out there. Seems like a logical plan to me, because we know that other teams will be looking at other kids for that same spot. Not entirely certain what the new 'hard cap' on scholarships is these days, so is also reasonable that teams will sign a bunch, and let the process 'attrit' them down, when the recruits observe their positional competitors and see where they stand amongst the many.

Remarkably pleased to see so many recruits flocking to tOSU so late in the recruiting season (for 2026 signings). This usually doesn't happen, since the Urban days, but probably must because of the apple-cart upsets on major coaching positions. Seems like the only coaching positions that are solid are those on the Buckeye staff, and will become even more solid after tOSU waxes Xichigan. We all see that the WR room is going to be solid, as long as Hartline is running the show, but am thinking that losing 14 draft choices (plus 3-4 UDFAs) to the pros, AND doing better on D (allegedly) than last year's edition, indicates that the Buckeyes have got something going for them. Nothing new here, just putting down what most of us are thinking. Plus the easing of the 85 recruiting slots seems to have helped as well. Firing one coach leads to 5+ rumors about who is going to fill the spot, whether true or not, and the ripple effect is causing recruits to take pause. Won't know from experience, but if one is making $12million per year, what's another 2-3 million or so?
