All the "misses" and we still have a top 5 class in 26 when it comes to player average. Only Bama LSU and Oregon are higher.

Exactly. I'd rather build the lines from tansfers than overpay for freshman who will transfer before they play.

We have already shown that we can utilize the transfer portal very well when it comes to OL. '
Obviously you don't want to be building whole lines from the portal, but a guy or two here and there to bridge the gaps works very well when executed properly.

A deep Ohio EDGE class is coming in 2027, which could allow us to stay patient in 2026.
ON3 just jumped Columbus Academy’s Reinaldo Perez to #101 overall.
Perez would be just the second blue chip EDGE to come out of Columbus since Jack Sawyer six years ago.

Cincinnati EDGE Antoine Higgins is the other national recruit to keep an eye on in 2027.
Already has offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, and Notre Dame.

You can't judge a class until you see the transfers.
Atkinson, Klare, Donaldsosn, Onianawa and Daniels will all contribute to targeted spots in a way that a group of Frosh would never have been able to do. Granted, those Frosh misses include kids who might have been monsters in 3 or 4 years, but NIL is leveling the plaing field in a way I certainly didn't see coming.
Let's see how we do in the portal this winter.
