I don't really see ANY problems with any of the iterations above. All look like good kids and great players. Enough versatility in the players that several can switch sides of the ball and not miss a beat. Still need the two LB's to fit in the obvious holes, but there's enough in the current pipeline to fill the needs/holes.

Is it my imagination, or is recruiting under Urb much more of a guessing game (for we faithful followers) than it ever was with Tress, Coop, and Earl? Haven't seen the BP recruiting page (plus updates), and kinda think that when we zig, Urb zags, and the OSU 'war room' is off limits to more folk than usual......dunno, but it certainly makes me log on more times per day, as there's always seems like something new has hit the wires.....

Maybe it's just my own personel impression, but it seems Meyer and his staff are spending a lot more time in North and South Carolina than JT's staff did?

Lets please not do this debate again...a) For each 3 star wonder listed, it can be countered with a 3 star bust/4 or 5 star player that panned out well b) By this notion, we should all be bummed out when our class is full of 4-5 stars and wish to swap out with a class of 3 stars. Everytime the debate goes in a circle and end up proving nothing, yet wasting tons of precious internets. Anyways, my final guess:

QB: J.T. Barrett
RB: Ezekiel Elliot
WR: Taivon Jacobs
WR: Shelton Gibson (book it if grades are good)
ATH: Jalin Marshall
ATH: Cornelius Elder (go for Timmons if Elder says no)
TE: Marcus Baugh
OL: Evan Lisle
OL: Tim Gardner
OL: Donovan Munger
DE: Joey Bosa
DE: Tyquan Lewis
DE/DT: Tracy Sprinkle
DT: Billy Price
DT: Michael Hill
LB: Trey Johnson (book it)
LB: Mike Mitchell (book it)
LB: Darron Lee
LB/S: Chris Worley (book it)
CB: Eli Woodard
CB: Gareon Conley
S: Cam Burrows
S: Jayme Thompson
P: Johnny Townsend

- Almost positive Quick to Louisville and Bell to Bama. I think we see one surprise for sure, possibly Lacey or Redfield, or another name not in play right now. But I am very confident on Gibson, T. Johnson, Mitchell, and Worley.

That would be an unreal class by any measure. Do you think we're completely out of it for Dawson?

I thought there was an outside shot if Urban pulled a miracle on his visit but after he cancelled, no chance. Plus we just landed Munger, who I'm pretty sure was contingent to the staff's read on Dawson and after the visit was cancelled, Munger was in and I think Dawson's spot is gone. There is a valid argument that you take him regardless, but I think he is an extreme longshot and the staff won't waste their time...Sparty or scUM, hopefully Sparty.

And yes, that would be a fantastic class and more than realistic imo by discounting Bell and Quick. While either would be a great surprise (it isn't inconceivable, just highly improbable we get either), I think that class fills every need. Trey Johnson and Mike Mitchell are top-notch talents at a desparate position of need (though I tend to think 1-2 of Perry, Perkins, or Camren Williams step it up next year from the '12 class), especially Mitchell. In my eyes, Mitchell is a 5 star talent all the way. Ungodly combine numbers (legit 4.37 and fastest time over elite skill players with his size is ridiculous), physically gifted at 6'4 215, mean as possible, proven bloodlines, and extremely competitive. I can't imagine a much better LB prospect, especially once Urban pushes him. Plus I see one of Lee or Worley playing LB in the end, more likely Lee (I think his ability to grow into a LB is what got him his offer).

Plus Gibson and one of Elder/Timmons would make an amazing class for offensive skill players when adding in Elliott, Marshall, and Jacobs. Really hoping Gibson gets in, as I see him as the only real pure WR in this class, maybe Jacobs. Either way, pretty immaterial to our offense...this would get us 5 electric guys to get the ball to and Urban has a great track record in utilizing such talents to the maximum level.

Of course the only real issue would remain at offensive tackle. I only see this as an issue if injuries hit (which unfortunately is common on the OL). We should clean up at OT in '14 and Decker seems like a future star. Plus Dodson will be healthy and Lisle is an unsung talent coming in at tackle. Further, I don't think playing O'Connor, Baldwin, or Farris at tackle is much of a stretch with their skill sets. Adding an OT is certainly ideal, but I don't think we are stuck with so many square pegs to fit into round holes as in the Bollman era. All that being said, it sure would be nice to get Lacey or pull a surprise and flip someone like Pocic.

Possibly safety but at 6-3 210, he has a ton of room on his frame to get up to around 230-240 and we need LBs. Plus we have Burrows, Thompson, and Worley as safetys.

I beliebe Worley is more LB than Lee. Also think your measureables on Lee are a little overexaggerated. I have never seen him listed over 6'2" at generally at 195lbs or so (obviously he could have grown though). Worley and Lee are pretty much the same size, but Lee seems to have the skillset to stay at Safety.

This is how I feel as well, griff. I think they are similar in size currently, but I definitely think Worley has the bigger frame and Lee's skillset better projects him to safety, imo.
