I know people don't look at this game like there is a lot at stake, but truth be told OSU's resume is shaky still in terms of lack of quality wins. If IU and Illinois keep losing, I'm not sure either will make the field. Right now Maryland is the only team OSU has a win against that is solidly going to make the tourney (Purdue is a bubble team), so definitely the Buckeyes cannot come out and lay an egg at PSU to give ammo to the detractors who want OSU out of the field due to their relative lack of quality wins. There were national analysts out on twitter (Doug Gottlieb for instance) during the Purdue game complaining about how weak OSU's resume was in terms of quality wins and how they didn't deserve to make the tourney, if they lose this game the criticism will only increase. I think OSU will make the tourney, I believe it is a lock if they win just one of their last 3 games, but I think even this one win might clinch a tourney bid.

When I start taking Doug Gottlieb seriously, just cap a nine in my head.

I mean, get real. The next fucking jumpshot that annoying little cracker makes will be his first. I believe the national Masons organization was named for Doug Gottlieb.

UPDATE (1:52 A.M.): According to this tweet from the manager account, Ohio State made it into State College just before 2 a.m.

The Buckeyes flew into Latrobe — the closest airport their plane could land — which is roughly 110 miles from State College. They had to wait for a bus to come to their plane and drive them the rest of the way.

As of now, Ohio State and Penn State will go on as scheduled tonight. What is usually an hour-long flight turned into much more than that, though, for the Buckeyes.

This is a huge game if Ohio State has any hopes of avoiding a seed of 8 or below in the NCAA tournament this is a must win. Also to still have an outside shot of a top 4 Big 10 seed this is a must win.

I have a nervous feeling about his game.
