Lol, they're still whining about a call from 1993

Yeah - somewhere (on one of their boards) I read that no other team has ever been penalized for excessive crowd noise. Of course, that isn't true. I can't find video evidence of it but I found it in some box score - Ohio State was penalized against *ichigan in 1986 for excessive crowd noise. I think it was right after Ohio State scored to make it a 2-point game, about 9 minutes to go in the game.

Also, I think they (Penn State) argue over what "penalized" means. Penn State in 1993 against *ichigan and Ohio State in 1986 against *ichigan were penalized with a timeout. No 5-yard penalty.

Other Penn State fans pointed out that Penn State is not the only team to be punished for excessive crowd noise. But that original guy had a really long list of times Penn State "got screwed" by referees. I wish I remembered that list, or had it copied somewhere. It had things on there that I've never heard them bitching about, other times. I think one was that game against *ichigan in 2005 - they had the heel-toe thing that I agree they got screwed on (not that I'm complaining) and the extra 2 seconds that I think was correctly added to the clock, and something about a *ichigan player rolling around for 5 yards to get out of bounds, and the ref said that he got out of bounds and the clock stopped. I couldn't find any play that looked like the guy knew what he's talking about.

Best case scenario: Ohio State gets away with a blind-side block early, and wins 63-14 (like in 2013).
Next best case scenario: 100% clean game by the officials and Ohio State still wins 63-14.
Next best case scenario: 100% clean game by the officials and Ohio State scores 63 points in the fourth quarter to win 63-14.
