The concerning thing is that we're seeing some of the same issues we saw last year in big games i.e. lack of run game and borderline nonsensical play calling. I also feel like the defense probably doesn't have the talent in the back end to hang with a playoff team O. Glad to get the win but for the first time all year I'm starting to doubt whether this is a NC team and whether it'll get to that level.

Same. Do we have the same o-line coach as last season? I think a change there should be on the table. D-lines get through the line way faster than 32.

IMO that's not it at all... when we pack bodies into the box we invite the opposing defense to do the same.

When we go hurry up and go 3 wide all the sudden there's tons of room to run. If I might add, there's no nobility in being tough if you're going to be out numbered. Work smart not hard.

The offense Day wants to establish in the first half has been found out. They need to be capable of planning for these run-focused, blitz heavy schemes. Either use more misdirection, better screens, or be willing to throw the ball all over out of the gate. The bad news is they've been very slow to do this. Good news is they have most of the players to fix this. Health is a major concern though.

The defense is still getting gashed too often, and concedes 5 yard runs on first down. Making up for it with TOs but the yardage has to change.
