Getting the edema out of the injured area can be problematic and until you can do that the athlete will sense tightness in the muscle." I'm sure JSN has had the benefit of far better treatment than my runners could get 1980 - 2010, but it's also difficult to convince active young adults to rest and give the injury time to recover. They're insulted by the thought that they're not 100%.
