tOSU @ Minnesota, Thurs 1/16 @ 9p ET, ESPN2

Also, start Thompson instead of Smith. He's been the second-most productive scorer on the team in Big Ten play. That really won't solve much since he's playing more than Smith anyway, but he deserves to start.

where am I wrong? Take your time, I'll wait....

This team is obviously missing a consistent scorer, but a horrible scoring slump does not = a bad team. I'm confident they will get it figured out. To act like they are a bubble team after a hard 3 game skid is a stretch at best. I choose to support my team and (proven) head coach rather than tear them down at the first sign of adversity. To each their own though

Unless something dramatically changes, this might be the worst team Thad has had since 2007-2008, the year they went to the NIT. Zero offense, zero fast break acuity, and zero rebounding... yikes

EDIT: I would love to eat my words at the end of the season.

I think it is the worst team since 2009 but I think they are better than 2009. They just have to start playing against some teams that don't play zone all the time and then the Scott-Craft combo won't be a liability like it has been the past couple of games against the zone.

It's not tearing anything down, it's just telling the truth about the team. Look at the upcoming schedule. If they win any more than 3 of that 5, I'll be completely shocked. I realize it's hard for some to accept it, but they don't have the juice this year and once the bubble burst against Sparty, this team was going to struggle going forward.

Teams that don't usually play zone are going to play zone and dare Ohio State to hit shots. The problem is in the past they've made teams pay for it. So far this year they haven't. Add to that they don't go to the rim with any sort of regularity and you have a stagnant offense and a team that is also slumping a bit defensively.

Agreed. And Nebraska isn't the pushover it's been in previous years, so if this team thinks it's going to waltz into Lincoln and sleepwalk to a 20-point win, there will be another loss. Monday night is going to take some focus and renewed enthusiasm to walk away with a W. The fact that I'm saying all of this about Nebraska is making me sick.

Please don't get sick over just 3 losses in a row okay? This team, now has a lot of adjustments to make, starting with getting more play from Amir Williams, Loving and Thompson. I was hoping that in the beginning we would see much more improvement from Williams, but that does not look like that is going to happen right now. He has a lot of searching to do, on his own, and in his mind. Craft is starting to take the load of the team on his shoulders right now and that is not the answer either. I don't think this team has the strength to go man-to-man coverage. So when other teams see us in zone coverage - they have our number. Thad has a lot of things to figure out real quick. Good luck to Thad and the basketball buckeyes the rest of the way in. Who knows...............they may really surprise us.

I'm still waiting for Thad to show me he can coach a big Center. That and why do we seem to get in a hurry and have umpteen to's in the second half. I still think we need better competition in the non conference games.

+1 on the non-conference schedule. And I think these big guys are who they are. When the season started I was thinking this was a 500 conference team. Then they fooled me into thinking they would be in the mix. We just don't seem to have that "give me the ball" type of guy this year.
