tOSU: Best Trio of Coaches in NCAA?

Can anyone put together a better trio of coaches than what we have at tOSU with JT, Thad and Jim Foster of the Lady BBall Bucks? I think sometimes we get so caught up in recruiting and star players that we forget that our athletic department has managed to snag three of the best coaching gems out of the entire collegiate ranks. The best part is, they all seem here to stay for a good while.

Honestly, is there a university out there who has a better trio than Tress, Matta & J.Foster? I can't imagine.

Actually, I checked with the NCAA and Weis actually counts as four but since he's not that great, I don't know how we can consider him for this debate anyhow. :tongue2: BUT...if you give the man 6 weeks to prepare...oh wait.

High Lonesome...you all do have an impressive bunch down there at UT as well although I like Tress more than Brown (bias of course, and Mack has struggled with OU) and I think Matta's stock is as high as anyone's in all of college sports. If I had to pick one school to rival us though it would be your 'Horns.

I excluded baseball for the simple fact that I don't follow college baseball at all, though I know that Texas is well known for their program.

I'd say LSU could be a contender, once everyone gets a better feel for how Les Miles is going to work out.

If scUM ever replaces Lllloyd Carr, Tommy Amaker, and Cheryl Burnett with good coaches, they might have a shot at contending, too.

There's other sports that our coaches could be named: synchronized swimming has 7 NC's in the past 11 years I believe.

Fulmer is no Tressel.....but nobody is as good as Pat Summit.

Tennessee and Texas were the first two that I thought of.

Oklahoma should be considered also.

Not always true! ND consistantly has a top 25 baseball team.
