Yes, but I'd argue he's playing well enough to win ugly, or at worst be down by a couple points.

And osus anemic rushing attack is gashing them.

The timmons less defense got worked.
The special teams got worked.
The penalties were devastating.

I'd worry about the defense and boneheaded RZ play calling.

I wanted to destroy the TV when I saw them in shotgun a foot from the goal line. It was either that, or Luke was under center, but handed it off instead of sneaking it.

I have to say Matt Patricia is getting exposed a bit here.

So was a lot of his success due to stellar D players last season?

Will he get recruits to get back to that level?

Without Timmons, the secondary is leaky and the LBs don’t help.

And Sayin would be an enormous help. Fahey is playing as well as you’d hope, but that doesn’t account for not being able to run your offense and loose most of the intermediate passing game.

Please junk the choreographed throws to Smith. He needs the ball beyond the LOS, and they need to get him 2-4 deep throws.

The problem is they jumped. Chances are they jump on one of the 4 sneaks. It wasn't a sack

Red Zone woes. Turn those FGs into TDs and we are up 21-20
Hopefully we make the necessary adjustments and execute. USC came to play but we can win this.

As bad as Ohio State played they are still in it. First and goal from the 6 inch line and Ohio State only comes away with 3. If Ohio State had just gotten touchdowns in stead of field goals they would be in the lead now. Come out in the 3rd ready to play. Get the kickoff and score on the opening drive and it's definitely still anybody's game.
