tOSU at Sparty, December 5th, Noon on ABC

Agree completely. When the protection breaks down - and it will all game - he needs to get the yardage with his feet. At least force Michigan State to spy. Indiana didn’t bother with a spy because they knew Fields does not like the run.

I would hope we spent 2 weeks figuring out how to recognize and defeat the zone blitzes up the middle. I mean, I assume Sparty isnt emulating the Steelers but I mean if I saw that film, I would put something in there... Now.... That should help everything else today... But he's gonna have to use his feet to keep things on schedule if nothing else (I hate to have to think about it that way but it is what it is)

I'm not sweating it really. I'm hoping we see a lot more Hilliard today and maybe our 3 best on the field together in Werner, Hilliard and Browning. Love Tuf's improvement and heart but I really think he's 4th or even 5th as far as ability on the D. Safety is a crapshoot, they've been bad most of the year anyway put the youngsters in there and see what they can do. Communication is key though as it should always be.

Offensively we need to crank up the screen/draw Offense to slow the MSU pass rush with the inexperience on the Oline going. I honestly think they'll be good by the end of the day but we can't let MSU get a lot of pressure early, get hits on Justin and gain a lot of confidence. Keep them guessing early on and then we'll hit the big pass plays with Olave and Wilson as we go.

All adds up to an angry Buckeye team that people are dogging for issues that they can't even control. This ain't Sparta! This is the Buckeye run to a championship. Buckeyes roll today behind an appearance by the Silver Bullets, 49-13

Well, Fields is going to have to be ready to use his feet as a weapon today. (Not necessarily by design, but if the protection gets busted or assignments get missed, just go)

Was thinking the same. Not going to have time to survey the field in the pocket for very long. I expect Sparty to come after him so make the initial read or two and if it isn't there just bolt. Could be some huge running lanes to run through if Fields takes his shots and doesn't hold onto it too long. Good to see the defense is mainly intact.
