Not only did the Buckeyes win, but MHJ. It looked bad for a moment, then he tapes it up and helps the team win.

Now he gets an extra week to let it heal, and he'll be good to go for the heart of the conference season.
Yeah dodged a monster bullet with that one. He’s gonna be hella sore tomorrow but the trainers have plenty of time with him

Honestly, I understand where some of the frustration comes from.

That being said, we won the damn game. Countless times during the Urban Meyer era we as fans experienced games like this, painstaking watches (albeit wins) that frustrate us to no end. Penn State 14, 17, 18 just to name a few, not to mention the ass whoopings that Iowa and Penn State doled out to us.

I'm over the narrative that things were perfect with Urbs. Several years saw squandered opportunities for national championships and playoff appearances. He was also lucky as shit to only have to deal with two Michigan teams that I would categorize as "good". That being said, as a fan, I appreciated Urban's time here regardless, he brought and incredible amount of consistent success and set the program up as a threat for years to come. Same goes for Tressel, there were times where you would have sworn coaching held back incredibly talented teams from achieving more. Still loved what he did for the program.

Also not sure who the hell you would replace Day with? The only option I would even think would be remotely entertaining would be Vrabel, but that's a pipe dream.

The negativity around here has gotten waaay too pervasive. It wasn't perfect, and frankly it's almost never going to be, we're lucky enough to be fans of a team that can compete on an elite national level year in and year out.

Im all for honest analysis of a program/team, I myself was not particularly bullish on this team early on, but tonight they showed guts, and to me, at this point in the season, guts is enough.

If you can't appreciate and enjoy a top ten win, on the road, against the fucking domers???? You're not appreciating the fun part of this whole thing. I think we as Buckeye fans have a tendency to lose perspective.

Sorry if this came off as preachy.

I'm confused. People are mad about this? Want coaches fired? The Buckeyes just beat the #9 team in the country. So it took 60 minutes to do that. So what? The #1 team should be happy about this win.
Now, if I'm Ryan Day (and I'm glad I'm not), I watch the game and look for ways to improve. But I'm a fan. This is Matt Sylvester hitting that shot to beat Illinois in about 2001 or something. This is in the same ballpark as Holy Buckeye, and beating Cincinnati that year. This is Frey throwing the touchdown (was that Bobby Olive) to neat Iowa.
This was a win over a top 10 team. Go sit with the NBC announcers and cry in a circle, or whatever.
Day made some shit calls tonight. Made the right one in the right moment. I like Day. He frustrates the shit out of me and then makes me believe. Like Tressel did for me.

He did great in the first half. They drove on us, but he responded and turned it around. Great coaching. Everything i love to see.

And then 2nd half we just went vanilla soft zone. No adjustments. Gave up 2 long drives for TDs. Adjustments weren't made until we were behind and ND was just trying to burn clock.

Ive never been in the "fire" camp... but... his 2nd half performance was not good.
Need more of what he did in 2Q.
OK. You’re not wrong. But I’m of the opinion that Knowles put the players into position to succeed and they did not execute.

See my previous post on a Igbinoson missing tackles after I’d praised him for sticking his nose into NDs run and short pass game.

ND has scholarship players and million dollar coordinators too. Its not always going to be a cakewalk despite how we think it should go.
