Game Thread tOSU at Miami FL, Sept 17, 7:30 pm ET, ESPN

we are sitting in the middle of a conflict of interest.....

best thing for OSU in the long term is for braxton to take every snap the remainder of the season and maybe lose 5 games.

If we lose 5 games, Fick gets fired.

I don;t know that it's a conflict of interest...if Luke looks at the end of the season like he did today, he probably shouldn't be HC at OSU.

As long as the coaches don't keep being ridiculously indecisive and soft on the QB situation, we can recover and move forward. If they keep up this QB carousel crap...I don't have high hopes. That hampers your future and does nothing to help the team this season.

Yeah...this definitely isn't Jackson/Germain.

Bottom line, if Miller was going to play against Miami, you get him in the game against Toledo.

So far Fick has a D+ at the midterm of the first semester.

You're thinking Bauserman will lose a lot more hair by then?

I just want to put this in perspective.

We have SIGNIFICANTLY more offensive talent than Toledo. In fact, Toledo is using a quarterback named Terrance Owens from Gloenville who didn't even get a sniff from Ohio State.

While Toledo got beat handily by Boise, their offense, and Terrance Owens had players open all night against a defense better than Miami's.

Why is that?

Why does Terrance Owens look like he should be the starter at tOSU? It's embarrassing. The offensive ineptitude is a disgrace. At no point tonight in a shot-gun formation did I feel like we had a chance to be successful. That is atrocious.

All I can do is shake my head and hope someone who has even a semi-clue on how to put a system together is in coaching next year.

And good luck to Ohio State on finishing the year out with a strong recruiting class. Unless Urban Meyer is named coach by January, look for the defects soon....

And I feel for Luke. Really wish that wasn't teh case. I thought the Buckeyes were going to rally this year around the turmoil. But they folded tonight...just played so scared in the first 10-15 minutes and fell to far behind without a passing attack.

Deja vu from 2008:

-Bad loss with no touchdowns on national stage in first road game of the year
-Struggle the week earlier to a MAC team
-Key players out injured/suspended rob the team of it's established identity
-Flip flop between the senior and freshman QBs with painfully different offensive playbooks with obvious gimmick plays for the "mobile" QB
-Difficult decision to decide to start the hot-shot frosh

Definitely miss JT in this situation. :(

Vacated or not it's still a loss on our books.

I know. It is just irritating that Hall, Howard, and Brown get 2 games and Harris and Spence get 1 game.

Oh well. Once you put yourself at the mercy of the NCAA you really can't complain about the outcome.

I'll feel much better when Da U's win is vacated once the NCAA realizes that entertainment, transportation, and meals in Souf Beach is more than 300 bones

:oh:

It was nice to see that Golden has instilled some class in Miami. That was the best sportsmanship I've ever seen from a Hurricanes team. I still find their fans nauseating, however.

Tress would've certainly taken a knee at the end of this one if he were in Golden's shoes. I found myself missing JT tonight. Is that strange? LOL!

I honestly was horse by halftime being so frustrated but after the half you just had to sit back and laugh at how poorly the passing performance was... I feel bad for Bauserman but we have got to go forward with Braxton.

If bauserman plays the majority of the next game I will then be concerned for the rest of the year. Fickel can't be that ignorant though can he?
