Game Thread tOSU at Indiana, Saturday Oct. 17, Noon ET, FOX

This 2025-2026 stretch reminds me of 07-08. You have talent, but you have questionable execution and decision making at QB & OL. Your OL hasn't been performing to the level of your recruiting/transfers (Bollman) and the offensive play calling has become stale in the lack of explosive 1st down plays and the obsession with high-percentage 'classic' lateral stressors while not building in misdirection.

Much like those years, you're going to top out against top 5-10 talent and your flaws will be exposed. At least, I'm speaking offensively; defensively this squad is sound, but unspectacular (I'm fine with that)

You're going to beat scUM, as you should. But with conference expansion, you're not walking through B1G bottom feeders. You have USC & Oregon in your regular season now. So you aren't rolling 10-2 anymore.

As it currently stands, this offense has about found it's current glass ceiling. If the Defense and Special teams can generate favorable positions and stops, your offense might be able to do enough. When it doesn't? Miami, Texas... this. etc etc.
Offensive playcalling isn't stale. They have the plays to make they just aren't making them.

Thanks Hoover. You fucked up and threw it to the open RB instead of the wide open te. The point being that everyone is fucking open in 2.5 seconds while OSU can’t get anyone open (or Sayin can’t find them) in 5 seconds. I’m so fucking frustrated with this team.

Hoover is only marginally doing better than Sayin in this game and it's only because of our Benny Hill zone defense where everyone just kinds of runs around not really knowing what they are doing

I disagree the OL is plying fine. Huge running holes, and good passing lanes for the qb. Hes just missing
