He was more like QB2. He was taking QB2 reps at practice. They also had a much, much better o-line for him.

Yup. I love that screen to Bey in that situation, and lots of other situations. Practice that over and over. If they can introduce the (gasp) crossing route it would be big for this offense.

I’ve heard more than a few mention this. All his throws were floating and had less on them. Could be he was rattled, but those were not throws we’ve seen him make even against Indiana/Miami last year.

And holding and false start penalties. Those don’t help a backup QB suddenly thrust into that kind of situation either.

From what I have seen from the o-line, I would say no. The QB that Day deemed the better option didn't look great and behind that o-line he will be injured in a few weeks.

My thoughts as well. Even when he was rattled last year he wasn't missing that badly.
