Game Thread tOSU at Indiana - Oct 13, 8 ET, BTN

Braxton if untouched can run 75 yards in probably > 10 seconds. Why we just kill the clock there is beyond me, but oh well. Like usual the defnese is actually playing pretty well outside of the 1 play.

I hate having to type 'outside of that one play' tho... just can't give up those 50+ yard gains. We probably lead the nation by now in 50+ yard plays given up because I know we were tied going into today with Tennessee.

I was really hoping Urban would change the culture of these type of let down and uninspired performances.

Florida had them too though. I remember them struggling with Miami OH big time a few years ago until Rainey took over.

18-22 years olds ... what are you gonna do? :ohwell:

but this isn't a trap game cuz herp derp they're Indiana.

maybe some week the predictions against inferior opponents won't be 753-0. I doubt it, though.

Last year they were a Braxton 81 yard TD run on 3rd and 10 from being down 7-10 to punting away and being down possibly 0-17.

Missed tackles against a Kevin Wilson offense will kill you. 2004 Northwestern is an example (even though Wilson had moved on by then, that was still his scheme they were running).

Shockingly the defense actually played well after falling down 14-10.. things could have gotten very dicey.. but I think they ran off a couple three and outs.. they actually seem to have the IU route combinations down pretty well... thought they'd have more guys running free based on what we've seen in prior weeks.

Offensively.. can't complain that much.. on pace for another 500+ yards.. but we just seem a little off.. too many TFLs and no gain plays... think we're missing some Boren as a lead blocker out there at times... Haven't used some of those designed run plays with Brax that we torched Nebraska with, but that may be something that we just saw Nebraska couldn't deal with

You can wish in one hand, and crap in the other...

agreed buckeyecty4. We had a 3 and out and then a big stop right before the half. I thought our defense played pretty well outside of that one play of course. Too bad we let that big hitter because the defense hasn't been that bad.

I will give credit to Indiana's defense though. So far they're making us earn the yards we get.
