how many stars did berry get from scout and rivals for cheering on the sidelines? he must have been a 5-star.

Absolutely. I'm very disappointed that JT hasn't gotten him any pom-poms. I mean, the starting cheerleaders are okay, but Berry just has "it" when he gets the spandex on and a pom-pom in his hands.

Coupla observation...

- With the wind and an aggressive Illini defense, Tressel-ball was in full effect today.
- After TP came back from the injury, it was even moreso...
- Illinois is pretty much always up for tOSU. The fact that the Bucks played their worst game since Purdue last year and still won by two scores on the road can only be seen as a positive.
- The difference between this game and Purdue last year was Tressel-ball.
- TP is so deceptively fast...watching him glide down the field is like watching Bob Ross paint a happy little tree...
- Illinois is much better than last year. They found two good coordinators to help offset Zooks "Zookiness".
- Scheelhasse is gonna be a good one for the and will help beat a couple teams they shouldn't this year.
- Brandon Saine is a great Buckeye and captain, he's a helluva threat as a receiver, but he's not a good running back. I wish Jordan Hall could get some of his reps.
- I love our return game.
- Special Teams looked better today aside from the nullified blocked PAT.
- Christian Bryant is gonna be really good. Still takes some bad angles, but he's young. He loves to hit and has a nose for the ball.
- Hope to God TP doesn't ever have to miss significant action in a close game.
- 5 down, 8 to go...

Agreed. I think people are in panic mode for no reason. This is a good defense we played. And now we have more to learn from and shore it up as the schedule gets harder.

Can anyone explain why we ran the same running play over and over. I can understand why not wanting to pass so Pryor wouldn't plant on that leg, or why no designed Pryor runs....but why the same exact play?

Just curious (it obviously started to work at the end) why we didn't mix it up?

Herron bouncing runs outside>banging the rock up the gut over and over and over. But without the "up the gut" runs all game, bouncing it outside isn't as effective

The day commentators rave about the Bukeyes for an 11 point loss as a greatly improved team, life for us really sucks.

This wasn't a great game, The Bucks always have a flat game or two.

I'd rather be a Buckeye!

IMO MVP=Zach Boren... He was murdering people

Most needed MIA = Barry... we need to have a shifty back that makes people miss
OR the beast, Carlos Hyde...

I like Saine... but he doesn't bring what Barry or Hyde bring.. that change of pace

Every team does that. Every team. Look back and any teams NC run and you'll see a few examples of these games. The good ones find a way to win anyway.

Good game after playing a couple of really bad teams.

Pretty obvious Tress was not throwing the football when OSU was going from Right to Left (on TV) BTN made no mention of wind, but I'm told from someone who was there that the wind was a factor.

It'll be interesting to see what he has to say about the broadcast compared to what he saw first hand.

Over all, not pretty, but I'll take it. Illinois played "out of their minds" and OSU was flat, in my opinion. But, a win is a win. Road exp. and a "tough one" rather than a blow out... I'll take it.

It seems like they do the outside runs more often as they get closer to the goal line. Maybe the defense was looking for an "up the gut run".

I do agree that we need to work Berry in the offensive plan more, In any case Tressel ball prevails.
