Game Thread tOSU at Illinois, Nov 16, 12 ET, ESPN

Was that the touchdown that wasn't a touchdown, with no challenge flag being thrown? I thought I had forgotten all of that.

Yes it was. A huge momentum swing.

Meh. It happened in the first quarter. Maybe the second. But even if it happened in the 4th quarter, what really boned Ohio State was the fact that Illinois held the ball the last 7 minutes of the game. Ohio State just couldn't get the ball back. "Gift" touchdown or not, Ohio State had plenty of time to win the game, and just didn't.

I don't think the Buckeyes have to worry about that this year. It will probably be over by the second quarter.

Ha! You're right. Take a team that hasn't won a conference game since 2010 or 2011, and probably only has one more chance this year to win one (or have they already lost to Purdue?), and match them against a team on a 21-game winning streak, and if the game is in doubt going into the second quarter, I'll be a little grumpy.

All this 2007 talk is making me angry. A plunger isn't going to get the job done this week. Gotta go full plumber's snake on these bastards.

I was at the '07 game as well. Though there was a certain satisfaction in beating them in '11 when they were 6-0 and Ohio State completed only one of four passes, that's not enough. Tell the Illini defense to go bite the curb, Urban and Company will be out on Saturday to do their business.

Saw a stat that since the '11 game when we beat them, the Illini are 6-22.
