tOSU 60, Iowa 58 (Final)

The vegas line will come out around OSU -1.5.
98% of the public money so far is on OSU.

I'm not sold. OSU has absolutely sucked ass on the road this year and Iowa has been fairly tough at home. However, both teams are limping into this one losing 4 of their last 5 and it is not Iowa's SR night (thank god).

Coin flip imo.

Five of the games were decided by five points or less and a sixth went to overtime. B.J. Mullens' field-goal percentage in Big Ten games (.717) is the highest in the conference since Steve Scheffler of Purdue set the record (.767) in 1990.
there is no mention of Cyrus Tate and since I have not seen iowa play in a while I was wondering if he was playing yet or not:huh:

From the rivals team report:

F Cyrus Tate?s balky ankle allowed him to return to action. Tate has played in three consecutive games entering Tuesday?s meeting with Ohio State, with his minutes increasing each night. He lasted 27 minutes in the loss to Northwestern, scoring three points and grabbing five rebounds before fouling out.

On the actual website, they have the next game mislabeled as Wisconsin, but the numbers say this is the current info. Tate DNP in the NW game before they played UW on 2/11. What may be a more interesting roster change from the last meeting may be at PG:

If there is an optimistic side to this season wrecked by injuries, it?s that Jake Kelly?s move into the point guard role could benefit Iowa for years to come.
Kelly has scored more than 20 points in three of the four games at his new position?the only three times this season he has broken the 20-point barrier. Kelly has averaged 21.3 points and 5.3 assists as a point guard, although the Hawkeyes have won just one of the four games since he took over for the injured Jeff Peterson.

200K on the Bucks. I don't see us losing either of the next two, though anything is possible with Todd Lickliter as Iowa's coach. They beat us at their place last year.

Hopefully the Bucks have been working on their defense since we saw them last...

Iowa hit 14 out of 28 3's against us last time, which is one away from their school all-time record. BJ had a terrible game by his standards and the only guys who played well for us were Buford and Diebs. I see a much different game for both BJ and Evan and the Bucks get it done on the road tonight.

On BTN, I just watched tOSU defeat St. John's in the 1999 Elite Eight - but I know that team didn't go to the Final Four that year. :wink2:

Vegas nailed this game. tOSU was favored by 1.5 points, and the over/under started at 117 and closed at 119.

Fortunately, I used the opening over/under from yesterday.

Dammit, I hate you so much sometimes. First, you beat me to pointing out that Jake nailed it in the game thread.

Then I note that the the Final Four never happened and come over here and see that you beat me to that, too.

And of course, I was coming in to this thread to point out that with 117.5 O/U and OSU -1.5, betting OSU and the over would both have won by .5 points each....yet I'm beaten to the punch yet again.

:ohwell:
