In reality, that was the exception to the rule. The hoosiers put up 23 & 19 points in their first two weeks against bad teams.

What the Michigan game did not distort is that they are still a very limited team athletically and do not have the horses to keep pace on defense against top opponents.

Not only is the Big Ten Network predicting this game to be closer than we think (one picked us to lose), but after reading some of the write ups on the other buckeye sights they too are a little hesitant to say this game is going to be another Typical Indiana game.

Why?? Because they barely beat three crappy and gave Michigan a run? Michigan doesn't have the defense that we do, and quite frankly Forcier didn't play all that well either (until the 4th quarter). Even without Coleman/Homan I'm pretty confident that this will be a comfortable game. I'm not saying we're going to come out and destroy them 50-0 but it will be a typical OSU-IND game. 38-6 or somewhere in those lines.

I'll give Indiana this they do have a better Dline than they usually do, and they are running a different (and more effective) offense. However against this defense?? I don't care how good their recievers are that doesn't do them much good when our Dline is getting after them.

Agreed, the fact that BTN is predicting a closer game than we think is OK but DiNardo doesn't like us and I think they want a competitive conference so they can have something to banter about. We should approach every game with caution and what ESPN (May) or BTN (DiNardo) says means shit. Their judgement is clouded and a paycheck is important these days. It may not be a shuout, it will be low scoring on IU's part. The D is playing lights out and the success that Indiana had doesn't translate into this weekend. We held USC to one scoring drive, and we just played two shutouts back to back. They're going to be lucky if they get 6.

from what i saw....Dinardo wasn't that bad. It was that punk from Northwestern.

Yup, same here.

They can predict all they want, but even scUM fans admit that they have an incredibly weak/thin secondary, the reason they are winning games is because the defense CAN come up with stops. But just because they CAN doesn't mean they WILL, which is the big difference for the Bucks. Our boys WILL make the stops necessary to break IU's will early, as we did against Illinois, and then its history. What we WILL do is what scUM CANT do, that is exert their will on "D" and break an offenses spirit.

Already realizing it's Bill Lynch, but with the amount of publicity it got and television coverage, I'm very surprised someone didn't scoop up Lynch's gum and put it on eBay.

I recall a few years ago people trying to sell Alex Rodriguez's gum or something.

You'll never believe it but Bill's gum landed in a really funny position and probably could go on Ebay for some BIG money!!

I'm going to be at the game, so excited! So what all of you commenting on the traffic are saying is that I should park at my parents house in Indianapolis and walk to the game from there? :biggrin:

I am confident our defense will continue to dominate, just curious to see how our offense plays....GO BUCKS!!!!!
