Obviously, but you are also assuming that Purdue will continue to shoot lights out.

If they just shoot their average from here on out it'll be damned near impossible given what we've seen so far....

College basketball is a game of runs, and Purdue is on one right now.

But, you are correct, if the Buckeyes cant make shots and play out of control, they can't come back. For that matter, they probably will lose every game the rest of the season, because unless by some miracle they start playing like they have the previous 26 games, they are done.

ok then....

They're missing routine shots all over the place. Purdue is doing their part on defense to force tough shots and turnovers, but if the Buckeyes were making the routine ones this would be a different game right now.
Agree. At the very least it'd be a few point game either way. But unless the Bucks can put together a small run here and get the lead down to 4 or less by the 8:00 media timeout they could be in trouble.

Matador defense like that won't help.

This is not the same team that it was a month ago. People have figured out how to beat us and we are simply notn adjusting. As soon as I say that, there's a wide open layup for them. Wow is about all you can say.

if my team is deep, then a deep run in conference tourney would be fine. this team? we go 7-1/2 deep, with 6 players getting the overwhelming minutes. a conference tourney run could be our death. the game of the first weekend of the national tournament could be a killer.

they aren't even 7 deep. it's like 5 1/2 at this point and that 1/2 is generous depending on how Dallas is playing.

This ain't Hoosiers. You have to have at least 8 players anymore.

I'm still wondering if this team isn't still somewhat suffering the after-effects of that damned flu bug that's going around Columbus....

There's a whole lot of basketball left, but the Buckeyes do look tired and flat. Remember all that fist pump talk before the game? Where's that passion? That's what Matta has to orchestrate in this time out.

Both of these are good points. +1 +1

Starting to think our guys are not as good as we thought they were.

Opponents regularly get open shots every time down the floor.

Outside of Buford and Sully, no one consistently scares me if im the opponent.

I think you're overreacting a bit.

If we lose today we're 25-2. The two losses on the road in places where road teams rarely win against two locks for the NCAA tournament. No team in the NCAA has gone undefeated in 35 years, but how many 25-2 teams do you see in the standings?
