So, what cha all think about Tosh's handling of the woman in one of his audiences... Something to the effect of her saying that 'rape isn't a funny topic' and Tosh responding with, 'you know what would be funny? If she got raped, like by five guys.'

Had a very lengthy debate on FB today regarding the topic. Wonder what 'chall think.

Personally, I thought it crossed a line that it didn't need to... I was surprised by some of the responses I received.

Thoughts?

If this gets good I'll take some screen shots of the discussion and share. Suffice it to say one of my friends had all kinds of sand in his pussy.

Oh my GOD. Daniel Tosh said something inappropriate? I REFUSE to belive it until the FACTS come out! DANIEL is the REAL victim (or whatever you want to call them) here!

Who the fuck goes to see Daniel Tosh and gets offended? It's not it's a new development that he's an asshole who says terribly inappropriate things. It's who he is and what he does.

I think....maybe I'll start going to the symphony and booing them for playing classical music! :lol:

His entire act is saying outrageous shit tongue-in-cheek. I don't know how anyone gets offended at anything he says.

Based on the woman's blog, that is inaccurate. If he said what she said, it was pretty poor form. If its what you say, less so. The world will probably never know.

And I'll be the first to concede that there is a lot of buyer beware when going to a Tosh show. Frankly, I like his humor and if anything I'm disappointed that he chose a cheap way to deal with the situation. He's wittier than to go there.

Comedy is comedy and there are certainly a different set of standard expectations as one form of comedy is shock. That said, if it were one of us sitting next to our wife, daughter or other woman in our lives, I'd like to think that there would be a bit more consideration beyond 'you're at a Tosh show, what'd you expect.'

Where'd you see that? Was it on an episode,stand up, or something else?

Where is the outrage of some chick feeling the need to shout out her beliefs in the middle of his comedy routine? I am more offended by ther. Hey lady, next time keep your trap shut during a performance. No one went there to hear your humorless ass.

Per reports it was during a part of the show when Tosh asked for topics. Apparently someone suggested rape. Her comment was directed toward the open discussion, not necessarily Tosh specifically or during his bit.

I'd feel the same way I do now. I don't think any of the women I would attend a comedy show with would be dumb enough to yell out ethical advice at a comedy show.

Sadly I'm DTV so I've been without Cc for a week. It was cited here and there on the web.

There are differing accounts to the story. One from the club owner who said that it wasn't what he said, but then admits that he didn't hear it well.

Frankly, as with most stories aside from State Penn, I'm sure the truth lies in the middle.

I'm honestly just interested in opinions. I think that those represented here are fairly common:

1) it was Tosh, what did you expect?
2) heckler... Got what she deserves.

I'm sure that I'm just a prude and that's the only reason I don't have a show on Cc, but I've learned that there are a few topics that you don't need to fuck with. Race, rape and abortion. Race, just because there's no need. Rape and abortion because you never know who may have been impacted by either... and the cost for being wrong isn't worth being right.

Just my personal opinion. Carry on...
