sorry for all the questions, haven't uses a bit torrent before...but do you why my download was steady at around 50 kb, now all of a sudden, it has gone to 0.

and what does seed mean? It was at 1 and now it is 0, i'm thinking maybe thats why my download and upload speeds are at 0.

No problem on the questions. I do believe there is a BitTorrent tutorial in the forum somewhere. I will post the link later if someone doesn't beat me to it. In addition, there is a great deal of information to be found searching the web. Try "BitTorrent tutorial" as a search term and I'm sure you'll find plenty. Some instructions may include technical information that you don't understand, but I have found enough that it has helped me.

Seeding is when you have completed your download(s) and leave the program (client) running so that others can get it from you. Essentially the more folks that do this per torrent, then the faster the download for others. As far as you losing your download for a bit...I don't know. My client has been running steady since Sunday. I just checked and a number of people have almost completed the Xavier game. As just explained, if these folks seed, then others can get the torrent faster.

Thx bro you rock
Absolutely no problem. I really appreciate this forum and am glad to contribute.

just wanted to say thank you for all the help, i finally got the thing downloaded all the way.

I tried to leave it up to help others download it (i think thats all i have to do), but for some reason, my computer got really, really, really, really, slow when i tried to do other things, and so i had to close it, and now my computer works fine, does that happen to you?

Try limiting your upload speed. It may help keep your computer from slowing down so much.

And HERE is the bit torrent help if you haven't already seen it...(2nd post)

Been seeding it but right now no one is connected. Great job with the Buckeye basketball games woody. Keep them coming if you can.
It's appreciated 45. I think I've picked up a gig or so on the megapack since I started to torrent the basketball games, but I have to admit I've only been able to run the client uninterrupted since Sunday. As mentioned before, I have to shut it down to capture the games and edit / convert. Maybe one of these days I'll pick up an old rig to use as a torrent server of sorts (or build a new one:biggrin:).

UNBELIEVABLE. WE ARE MARCH MADNESS:biggrin::osu::biggrin:

I still can't believe what I watched. I'll leave my rant for later though....I gotta get some sleep. I spent almost twelve hours at Children's Hospital today and I'm exhausted. My son had surgery and is going to be fine. I would imagine he wasn't able to see this so........

This is a game one has to watch from start to finish. You have to live through the misery to properly feel the exhilaration of what was a remarkable effort from our guys. It is so 2002ish.:wink2:

:oh: :io:

I will get this out as soon as possible tomorrow. I do plan to do a DVD of this one, as well. That will be so that my son will have a chance to see it while he is recuperating (his stay should last 4-5 days). I will torrent it after the Divx.

WOW, Simply WOW!

Thank you my friend. No surgery is routine, but his was successful and was for a non - life threatening condition. My wife is staying with him during his recovery while I came home to watch over our smaller children.

I am very much looking forward to getting back to him, particularly with DVD in hand. I wouldn't be surprised if he draws a crowd while watching...lol:) Having said that, the Divx will be out in a few hours.

Thank you again for your prayers.

Thanks JCO. I just talked to my son and he is doing great. Much to my surprise he watched the first half and dozed off in the second, but awoke with the game tied and got to see the finish.

The edit is finished. The Divx conversion takes place in "real time", so it will be a couple of hours (dual core one of these days...lmao). I will do a DVD and simply use the edit I have with no menu. The render on that may take a bit, so ultimately I hope to have both torrented around 2:00 or 3:00.

I will probably do a DVD later with a few bells and whistles (a menu at least:wink2:) .

What a team effort. Everyone laid it out in the 2nd. Matt Terwilliger and Othello with big minutes in place of Greg. Lighty stepping up. Mike playing his game despite foul trouble. Dejuan Cook going to the rim....forget the jumper Dejuan...GET IN THE LANE. Jamar Butler working has rear end off on Lofton (and the kid still got 24, incredible). Mr. Oden dotting the "I" with his own blood....everyone......

:osu: A TEAM EFFORT:osu:

GO BUCKS
