I would have said that Slash was more the focus of Guns. The top hat was the deciding factor, and I think that Axl was more the instigator and Slash was the "frontman" so to speak.

Horseshit. Slash had to wear the gimmicky top hat to get noticed. Axl's personality was larger than life. When I think GnR, I think of Axl rocking back and forth with the mic stand in his hands. He was clearly the focus of the band, imo.

But seriously...I'm not saying Slash sucked. He's obviously the most talented musician from the band, but as far as front man? Seriously? Axl was THE front man of the 90's. I'm not sure I even heard Slash speak before 2001. :lol:
