I have been trying to get additional information regarding recruiting from Jadeveon himself. I have sent him several messages via facebook since the news of his interest in Ohio State broke. When I receive an updated response I will spread the word. If I dont hear from him soon, I will send him a few more messages.

Also - does anyone have an updated status to the actual severity of Terrelle Pryor's injury? No way the Buckeyes cover the 22 point spread if he is out and I need a new tv! Thanks!

I have to agree. Contacting a recruit like that, as harmless as it seems, could be a recruiting violation for Ohio State (you're a booster, surprise!).

Don't do it.

Leave the recruiting to the pros. Besides OSU he has a friend at the school with ties.

1) recruiting kids viw Facebook, Twitter, email, text is an ncaa violation

2) it is extremely rude and intrusive. He doesn't want to hear weak pleadings all day long.

3) it is myopic and egotistical. What could you possibly say to him that he hasn't already heard from every fanbase and their Facebook intruders ?


At best, it is rude. At worst, it can sabotage his recruitment.

You can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs, but this is a recipe for disaster. You're stirring up trouble with half-baked ideas. My brain is getting fried just reading about it; this isn't the hot-stove league, tOSU can't have recruits being spoon-fed info from message board posters. This player might be a flash in the pan, or the greatest thing since sliced bread, but too many chefs spoil the broth. Heed this advice or the mods will grill you faster than a knife though butter. Stop cooking up these bad ideas or you'll be toast. Don't stew over this, or think it's a crock, or you'll be mincemeat. These may be your salad days, but if you keep force-feeding stuff to recruits you'll get run through a meat grinder. I'm trying to sandwich in a lot of ideas here, and some bad puns are still on the back burner, but basically it comes down to: No soup for you!
