Top 25 Scoreboard (official thread)

Couple of pretty good upsets today. Xavier over Indiana, Texas over Tennessee and Seton Hall over Virginia. Tar Heels are in a battle as we speak as well

ASSOCIATED PRESS
No. 4 Kansas 76, Arizona 72 -- Brandon Rush scored five of his 17 points in overtime, including two dunks on his surgically repaired knee, helping fourth-ranked Kansas beat Arizona last night in Lawrence, Kan.

Darrell Arthur had 20 points and Mario Chalmers added 14 for Kansas (5-0), off to its best start since winning its first 14 games during the 2004-05 season.
Arizona (3-2) rallied from an early deficit and kept it close to the end, thanks to Chase Budinger and Jerryd Bayless. Budinger had 27 points and helped the Wildcats come back from an 11-point deficit, and Bayless hit some key shots down the stretch to finish with 19.

No. 9 Washington State 71, Air Force 62 -- Derrick Low made six second-half three-pointers and scored 19 points to help Washington State (6-0) beat Air Force (5-2) in the Cougar Hispanic College Fund Challenge in Spokane, Wash.

College basketball roundup: Sizzling play by Lavender helps Xavier top Creighton

Thursday, December 6, 2007 3:32 AM

Associated Press

No. 21 Xavier 79, Creighton 66 -- Brookhaven graduate Drew Lavender scored 17 points in the first half last night, and Xavier used a 14-2 run to set up a victory over previously undefeated Creighton in Cincinnati.
The Musketeers (7-1) won their sixth in a row behind Lavender, a 5-foot-7 point guard who had been limited to directing the offense. Given a chance to shoot, he showed he hasn't lost his touch.
Lavender dribbled through every full-court press that Creighton (5-1) threw at him, then made shots or passed off for a basket at the other end. He had a season-high 28 points and a career-high 10 assists.

No. 5 Georgetown 70, Alabama 60 -- DaJuan Summers had 18 points and nine rebounds and Georgetown (6-0) dominated Alabama (4-3) down the stretch in the first game of the SEC/Big East Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
