Holtmann said on March 7 that he had already been fielding "a ton of calls" about the opening for Pedon's job, but wouldn't delve further into the hiring process until the offseason. But after losing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Holtmann will now begin looking for two new assistants to fill out his staff ahead of next year.

I know he's a big defensive guy and was supposedly instrumental on the recruiting trail but haven't heard much else during the season.

If our defense is anything to go by this year.. He was not great defensively. But hopefully we can keep up the recruiting momentum
