Indiana coach Tom Crean showed some testiness with a Michigan assistant as they shook hands after a game on Sunday, but it wasn't his first incident during the final week of the Big Ten season.

Crean also had some words for Ohio State guard Aaron Craft after the Buckeyes' win in Bloomington on March 5. Craft won't say what Crean said as they passed each other in line but did not deny it was something other than congratulations.

"Heat of the battle," Craft said this week. "Nothing crazy. Obviously, he was upset and we were excited, but I just kind of brushed it off and moved on. I was just really kind of focused on getting back with (my teammates). I wanted to jump up and down with those guys."

Craft said all he said to Crean as they passed was, "Good game, Coach. Good luck next week."

With 27.6 seconds left and Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas at the free throw line, Craft and Crean were about 10 feet apart on the court and facing each other, but it was unclear whether either was saying anything to the other. Craft said no, that he was trying to steal a call from Crean to his players on the floor.

"I do that every game ... especially late in the game. Try to figure out what they're going to do," he said.

IMO, The Big Ten needs to step in at this point and put an end to this shit. If a player acts like this during a game, he gets a technical foul. But a coach can act like a spoiled little bitch after the game with no repercussions?

I don't think it merits a fine or suspension at this point, but drag his ass into a meeting and let him know that this shit will not be tolerated.

That Crean is an asshole is indisputable. But let's not delve into revisionism regarding Knight. This was a guy who threw a flower vase into a wall behind a secretary's head when she told him he would have to wait for a few minutes before going in to see the AD. This is a guy who physically assaulted an (admittedly smartmouthed) student. Knight was a punk and the cheapest form of bully.

That being said, I'd really love to watch Crean cut down the nets today. If the guy has me rooting for skeletor, he's a really special kind of asshole.

I guess maybe that's why. You pretty much knew what you were getting with Knight. Again, he was a dick pure and simple. I never fully understood why players ever wanted to play for him because he was such a prick.

Not sure what it is with Crean but he comes off as even MORE of an asshole than Knight ever did to me.

Agree on both points 100%.

Lets not get too crazy with worshiping the current old-man-trying-to-get-into-heaven version of Bobby Knight and lose sight of him being a physically abusive bully to non basketball personnel his entire life. The secretary story is one of hundreds.

And yes, you have arrived at some magnificent new level of douche when you have me rooting for Bo fucking Ryan and Wisconsin to beat a team not from tsun.
