Tom Herman (Former Head Coach FAU Owls)

Thanks Bleedy, he said as much in his presser as well, very cursorily, when he referenced the coach up in new england. Good to get more info on it. But watching Tress, he seems to have had the opposite problem since Troy. Can only run but not block for the pass, and even with Troy, the blocking cost the title against UF. Tress had many great attributes, but the O seemed to under perform imo the last few years. This is also only a critique at the level of the difference between good and great. But thanks for the info to take it into more detail.

Few things from Herman, via Ari Wasserman & Marcus Hartman:

marcushartman Marcus Hartman

Herman says times change, as do offensive and defensive philosophies when asked about OSU and 3 yards and cloud of dust legacy

Tom Herman called the rest of Ohio State's offensive staff an "All-Star" lineup.

Herman said Braxton Miller is a "great kid" and can't speak enough about him. Said they've spoken about his leadership and he was receptive.

Herman said he and Meyer have not discussed the dynamics of who will call plays. Hopes he can earn Meyer's trust to call some plays...Herman, however, said he doesn't care about that, though. The opportunity to work for Meyer and at Ohio State is what matters.

I can't wait until the Buckeyes start having trouble converting 3rd & shorts because 'time's change'.

I think that just because we may move away from the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" legacy it doesn't mean we won't be able to also run.
