I'm not upset about him putting on the Houston hat and throwing around the Houston hand gestures, but I do think doing so was an odd decision on his part to do so.

Shouldn't this be in the college football forum, instead of alumni? He's not an alum, and other former OSU assistants are in the college football forum: Dantonio, Snyder, Beckman, Hazell, Whithers, and I sure more as well...

My personal opinion with the hat, is let the clock strike midnight at least. This moment should have been about The Ohio State University and what this TEAM accomplished. That was a self serving moment, and took minimal attention away from a long hard fought road.
I appreciate the good service Coach Herman gave, and he should appreciate the opportunities the school gave him. So as Coach Meyer approved of it, then fine.

FWIW I vote for Buckeye Alumni....it's true in the literal sense and unless something really stupid happens (like criminal stuff which I hope never happens), then that's where it should be....

Just to be clear, I don't care a whit about the hat. I just think we need consistency. Either Dantonio and Saban are in the alumni forum, or Herman isn't either.

I still like Dantonio, still want to break out the plunger on them every year too.
Those games have generally been respectfully contested on both sides (excusing some chippiness but not like Dantonio's D here weren't a little dirty)
But you never know when the next coach will leave (Woody and Tressel weren't exactly expected beforehand). I consider Dantonio as somebody that could legitimately be considered down the road. Had hopes for Hazell but Purdue is a career killer. Hopefully Herman can have Dantonio's success (preferably outside B1G) and add his name to that list.
Dantonio still holds that hate for "big brother" too -- I don't think that all came from Bike Hart.
