I think our offense will keep rolling even though Herman was a very good OC. I think where he could potentially be missed (meaning we need a great replacement) is as the QB coach...the progression of Braxton, JT, and Cardale have all been remarkable and that is not an accident. I think under the old regime we could be bordering a Bauserman reincarnation digging this deep but under his tutelage, all QB's are playing spectacular football. The other area of concern could be our Texas recruiting because Herman did fantastic work down there and we will need someone to step it up now that we have dug some nice ties down there.
The (huge) silver lining in this is that we may keep Warriner longer due to being able to bump him up to OC and give him a very, very handsome pay raise. But as it relates to Herman, his legacy will be held in high regard by me. I think he adapted the scheme well with personnel and generally was creative when need be...yes, we complained about play calling sometimes but no couch quarterback will refrain from questioning play calling when things go bad. Above all, I really respect him for committing to this team through the playoffs. All fans should wish nothing but the best for Coach Herman and that is what I have been seeing.
