Talk about a fall from grace. Won the Broyles in 2014 and took the Houston job. Goes 13-1 in year one there, lands some elite recruits (including 5* Ed Oliver) and is probably the hottest coaching prospect in the country. Drops off a bit in year two (9-3), but is hired by Tejas in what is universally looked at as a homerun hire for the Horns. Goes a disappointing 32-18 in Austin and is fired. Spends one year as an analyst with the Chicago Bears bookended by jobless seasons. Hired by FAU and is fired before his second season is even done with a 6-16 record. Some coaches are just better coordinators than HC's.
