Just to be clear, torrents are going nowhere during this season. The only questions are whether or not we can fix the potential new registrant issue, and whether or not there's enough interest and demand (and isn't demanding from a support standpoint) to carry it forward to future seasons with other options out there on the web.

Nope, I've made no changes yet. So if it worked for you, that may be suggestive that the problem is not an issue with the tracker. Either way, I'm still pursuing this and we'll try to get it sorted out for one and all.

Well, thank you for the details. Without those I would have lacked a starting point.

I *think* this is fixed and everyone should now be properly registered with the tracker. I need someone who has been previously unable to use the system to try now, and let me know if the matter is resolved. If so, your (Diaspora) research proved entirely fruitful, and something would have been broken back in March when we went from a single server to a two server configuration.
