scarletmike;1998384; said:Yeah, I don't know how the hell you can call that good. I mean, I realize I watched it in HD on a 47" screen, but damn, that was so obvious.

scarletmike;1999017; said:I just don't understand how anyone could possibly call that a good FG on a review. Where they watching it on an 8-bit B&W 10in. monitor? That isn't something you "just mess up."
a lot of good that does nowAfter the game the Big East released this statement in regards to the play: "After studying the videos of the Syracuse extra point attempt at 2:07 of the fourth quarter, we have concluded that the ruling on the field that the kick passed between the uprights was incorrect, and that the replay official made an error in failing to reverse that ruling. In reviewing the video, we have determined that the angle from behind the kicking team shows conclusively that the ball passes outside the right upright.
"Our review of the process determined that the replay official mistakenly focused his attention on the sideline angle, which proved to be distorted. We are confident that our officiating staff will learn from this situation in order to prevent a reoccurrence."

Bucklion;1999086; said:My question is, OK, the refs on the field blew it, but how can they fuck up the replay? The LOCAL news here just blew up a still that showed the ball in front of the goal post...ergo, there is no way it went in. Seems pretty simple to me.
